Alex Reid has been asked to take part in the next series of Celebrity Big Brother, reports suggest.

Channel 4 are apparently desperate for the cage fighter to take part and are offering payment of £100,000.

A friend of Alex told the News of the World: “They’re desperate to sign him up. It’s perfect for him because people will get to see the real person.

“Alex has got a bad reputation but he’s actually charming and funny. We’re convinced that if he does it he’ll make it to the final.”

However girlfriend Katie Price may take some convincing as she is said to be wary of Alex being seen as a celebrity as she feels that people may think he’s using her.

The final series of Celebrity Big Brother to run on Channel 4 will begin in January.
