La Toya Jackson has claimed that Michael Jackson was murdered for the rights to his back catalogue, reports suggest.
The King of Pop passed away in June last year after a fatal dose propofal was administered and La Toya has claimed that Michael always knew he would be murdered.
In an interview on GMTV, she said: “I never had a doubt. You must remember from the day that I found out that Michael was no longer with us, when my mother screamed ‘he’s dead’ on the phone, I just went into this, ‘Who did it?’.
“Michael was murdered for his catalogue – that’s the bottom line. He was murdered for his catalogue and they knew that, and they knew Michael was much more, worth so much more dead than alive.
“His children deserve the truth. I think his parents deserve the truth, his family and his fans. Personally I think it is a slap in the face, not just to Michael but to the entire family. It’s totally unfair, it’s wrong and it was not an accident.”
It is estimated that Michael’s estate is currently worth £670 million.

Michael Jackson’s sister, La Toya, has said that he was unable to cope with the planned This Is It concerts.
The singer was due to stage 50 shows at the O2 arena in London. Ten concerts were originally planned but after they sold out the number was increased to 50.
Whilst appearing on Live From Studio Five, La Toya said: “Michael had agreed to do ten shows only. That’s what was arranged, but of course they sold out so quickly. They didn’t ask him, they just added all these shows on to it.”
When asked if Michael would have been able to cope with all 50 shows, she said: “Truthfully, no. A healthy person couldn’t have done it. A person who’s physically fit and doing this every single day couldn’t have done it. It was just too much for him, it really was.”
La Toya also said that she believed Michael would still be alive if certain people had not involved themselves in his life: “They definitely controlled him. Absolutely. And I know what that’s like because I was controlled once, very, very badly in this business. And that’s what happened. We would still have him here today if that hadn’t taken place.”

Michael Jackson refused to work with Madonna, reports suggest.
Madonna is said to have asked the King of Pop many times and repeatedly presented him with lyrics and music.
Appearing at the MTV awards, Madonna said: “We spent time together and became friends, it just never happened. I wrote words and presented them to him, but he didn’t want to go there.
“He didn’t want to be provocative. I said, ‘Well, why come to me?’ It’s like asking Quentin Tarantino to not put any violence in his films. I felt he was too shy.”
