Peter Andre has revealed that he and ex-wife Katie Price are getting along better than ever since the split.

The glamour model has allowed her pop star ex to see stepson Harvey from her relationship with Dwight Yorke.

In his New column, Peter said: “Things are amicable between Kate and me at the moment and I’m really keen to keep it this way for the sake of the children.

“It was really nice as I got to hang out with Harvey while Kate caught up with Junior and Princess. He was showing me all the drawings he’s been doing – he’s really got into it lately.”

Andre recently announced that he is to launch a children’s book series.

Peter Andre has revealed that he is not fazed by his ex-wife’s marriage to Alex Reid and that his children are his main priority.

Speaking to the News of the World, the singer said: “I wasn’t upset because of the wedding, absolutely not. To me it was the best closure I could have asked for.

“Once she became Mrs Reid it’s not my business anymore. I stepped away from the circus a long time ago. Whatever is to do with the kids will be my business.”

On his tearful interview with Sky News, he said: “Watching a video of Dwight Yorke having a go at me on TV, which I was totally not prepared for, triggered off an emotion.

“People were coming up to me today saying, ‘Just think the best thing to come out of this marriage is two lovely children’. I said, ‘No, three lovely children’. That is the way it is. I love Harvey very much and always will.”

Peter added that he is not looking to meet anyone special at the moment and any future relationships will remain private.

A “mad and manic” Katie Price reportedly demanded to see Peter Andre during an unplanned visit to his Brighton home earlier this week.

According to the Sunday Mirror, the glamour model turned up unannounced, screaming: “Where’s Pete?”.

A source told the paper: ”Katie just showed up unannounced. She was mad and manic, and kept screaming, ‘Where’s Pete?’ I don’t know what it was about – just that it wasn’t about their children, who were with Pete by prior agreement. But she should not have turned up like that without an appointment.

“And when they told her he wasn’t there, she ­demanded they let her in to check. Someone got Pete on the phone to tell him what was going on, and he ordered the staff to get rid of her. She has become the ex from hell.”

Peter Andre is said to be “stunned” by his ex-wife’s behaviour and is apparently angry and embaressed for his staff.

In a statement, a spokesman for Katie said: “Katie did go round to Pete’s on Monday, but it was to pick up a passport for Princess Tiaamii. She was going to Manchester on Tuesday and she ­needed ID, which Pete had, for Tiaamii for the flight to Manchester.”

Peter Andre has said that he has no plans to get back together with ex-wife Katie Price.

Reports had suggested that the couple were on better terms following Katie’s appearance on I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here.

In his New! column, Peter said: ”I still don’t read many magazines right now, but apparently there were a couple of stories last week saying that seeing Kate on I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here! made me want to give the relationship another go!

“Er, I don’t need to explain myself to my readers, as you all know the score. I am a divorced man and there is absolutely no going back.”

On Katie splitting with Alex Reid, the singer said: ”Everyone wants to know what I think of Kate quitting I’m A Celeb and dumping Alex Reid on TV as soon as she came out. But as I said last week, I really haven’t been watching the show. I don’t mean that in a spiteful way, but I was busy doing other stuff.”

Katie Price has allegedly claimed that ex-husband Peter Andre is using her son Harvey for publicity.

Katie’s son, who’s biological father is footballer Dwight Yorke, was rushed to hospital last week with symptoms of swine flu. The estranged couple were reunited over concerns for Harvey’s health and apparently agreed not to discuss the situation publicly.

However, Peter Andre spoke on the matter during an appearance on GMTV.

A source told the Daily Star: “They agreed not to discuss Harvey’s health in public, but Pete just went right ahead. Kate also feels Pete is using Harvey to help sell his new single.”

The singer’s upcoming Unconditional was written about Harvey.

Katie Price’s mother Amy has said that her former son-in-law Peter Andre is completely different to the man portrayed in the media and seen on television, reports suggest.

She told The Mirror that he could be moody, manipulative and aggressive around Katie and that he was incredibly insensitive around the subject of Katie’s miscarriage earlier this year.

Amy said: “I’m so angry and somebody has to start sticking up for Kate. As much as I don’t want to say anything, people have to hear the truth.

“As far as Pete was concerned, he was like, ‘Come on, it’s happened. You have to move on’. You could see that when they filmed the London Marathon immediately afterwards for ITV, he didn’t seem to give two s**ts about her.

“He was asking why she was upset and things like, ‘Why are you so moody?’ when he knew what had gone on just days before. I thought it was insensitive and his reaction surprised her. She was so upset and couldn’t stop crying.”

On Peter’s media persona, she said: “He’s a great actor and can turn it on and off. When filming was on, he was always quite bubbly, but I have seen Peter when he’s on one of his lows, especially when he’s manipulative, moody and verbally aggressive.”

Katie Price has claimed that interference from her ex-manager Claire Powell was a major factor in the breakdown of her marriage to Peter Andre.

Speaking to Now magazine, the glamour model said: “The trouble is, before, I felt married to two people – Pete and our management. And it was like Pete was married to two women, Claire and me. And it just suffocated me.

“If I’m going to blame anyone for the end of my relationship with Pete, I’d have to lay some of the blame with Claire.”

Claire responded by admitting that she did need to be heavily involved in their lives.

She said: “Yes, I did have to control Kate to a certain extent as can be seen since she stopped being my client.

“Pete doesn’t need to be controlled like Kate, none of my other clients do, it was only her.”

Katie recently alleged that Peter was having an affair with Claire. Both Peter and Claire have threatened legal action as a result.

Peter Andre has said that he is growing closer to ex-girlfriend Mel B and her husband Stephen Belafonte.

Peter and Spice Girl Mel dated in 1996 and recently the pair have frequently been spotted together in London.

In his New magazine column, the ‘Behind Closed Doors’ singer wrote: “I’ve seen Mel B and her husband Stephen Belafonte a lot over the last few weeks and I’m pleased to say that we’re getting close again. I find her hilarious and really enjoy her company.

“Stephen is great, too, and they’re really well matched. Who says you can’t be friends with your exes, eh?”

Katie Price and Peter Andre are reportedly in disagreement over who will have the children for Christmas.

The argument over who gets to take Harvey, Junior and Princess over the holiday period is said to be pushing back their divorce settlement which was due to be finalised this month.

A friend of Peter’s told The Mirror: “Peter adores Christmas. He always dresses up as Santa to hand out presents. He was the one who wanted a Christmas tree in every room. He loves to make a big fuss.

“Peter wanted to carry on the tradition in an attempt to try and keep some normality. But Jordan is refusing to budge. She says she doesn’t want to wake up on Christmas morning without them.

“They agree they shouldn’t split up the children as that wouldn’t be fair. But the two of them can’t bear to be in the same room together.

“Pete really fancied going to Greece or Australia with his family, but Jordan refuses to back down.”

The friend continued: “The thought of Jordan’s boyfriend Alex Reid tucking the kids into bed on Christmas Eve makes Pete feel physically sick.

“If things have been nasty up to now, they are set to get a whole lot worse.”

Peter Andre has said that he does not hate Dwight Yorke despite Dwight’s dislike for him.

It was recently claimed that Dwight Yorke, the father of Katie Price’s son Harvey, could not visit the home of Katie and Peter because the couple had turned it into a “shrine to their own vanity”.

In reply to claims that Dwight wanted to “throttle” him, Peter told The Sun: “I’m sorry he hates me. I have been that boy’s dad for more than three years. And he knows it.”

“I do not hate Dwight and I didn’t realise he felt that way about me. But I have been a real father to Harvey and he calls me daddy. I guess that sticks in Dwight’s throat.”
