JLS have signed a £1 million publishing deal netting them £250,000 each, reports suggest.
The X Factor runners-up sold a 32% share of the songwriting credits for their current album to EMI following a bidding war from a number of major record labels.
Speaking to The Sun, EMI Publishing managing director Guy Moot said: “The UK has been crying out for a new boyband. They are so talented.
“It’s great to be associated with success like this and we’re glad to be given the chance to develop them as songwriters.”
The publishing deal is expected to make the boys more money than their record deal and EMI are planning to team them up with some of their best international songwriters.

Aston Merrygold and Big Brother’s Noirin Kelly have been getting close after a series of meetings, reports suggest.
The pair were recently seen together at the Cheerios Childline Concert in Dublin and onlookers claimed they were flirting.
A friend of Noirin’s told The Mirror: “Noirin is invited to all the showbiz parties in London nowadays so she would know JLS and the other stars who were in town for the Childline gig.
“She’s been seeing a new guy who’s based in London for the past few weeks and she’s really glowing with happiness.
“She doesn’t want it getting into the press as he’s quite high-profile but she’s hoping this one could be her Mister Right,”
Aston recently admitted that he was attracted to the X Factor’s Stacey Solomon.

Four JLS fans were taken to hospital after being crushed at a JLS event in Birmingham yesterday.
The X Factor runners-up were in the city to turn on the Christmas lights but they had to be rushed off stage after fans surged forward to get a better look.
Members of the crowd suffered injuries such as a crushed pelvis, crushed back and leg and a broken ankle.
Joan Durose, head of events at Birmingham City Council, told the Daily Mail: “At the end of JLS’s performance a security fence was breached, allowing too many people on to the square.
“We are very sorry that the event has had to be cancelled. We know that young people will be very disappointed, but the health and safety of thousands of young people at the event was our prime concern.”
Other acts such as the Sugababes and Alexandra Burke were due to perform before the cancellation.

The song is called Cheat Again and contains the lyrics: “We’ll never get back together/I’m really glad we broke up/Can’t take you back ’cause I know you’ll cheat again, cheat again.”
