Jeff Brazier arriving at Jade Goodys house with her children - Essex

By Owen Tonks

Jeff Brazier has banned Jack Tweed from seeing Jade Goody’s children, reports suggest.

Jack had been in a relationship with Jade for a number of months and married the Big Brother star before she died of cancer.

Speaking to the News of the World, Jeff, the father of Jade’s children, said: “With everything that’s happened, it’s just proved too much for me to ever imagine Jack seeing the children again.

“I don’t say that as a punishment to Jack. I say that as the father of my children. They just deserve a lot better.”

Before her death Jade has said that she wanted Jack to be part of her children’s lives but Jeff disagrees: “I respect Jade’s wishes, but it’s my right to put a little common sense into the equation.

“If I feel what she wanted will be detrimental to the children because of situations that have developed since her death then I’m going to do something about it.”

Jeff insists that his decision does not have anything to do with Jack’s latest arrest and that his mind was made up beforehand but the situation was inevitable: “He only saw the kids a handful of times. He made a token effort just after Jade died. Then it developed to Jack being in trouble and living at a place where the kids were never able to go. It just got steadily worse.

“I’m not surprised that this is the conclusion six months after Jade’s death.”

Jack Tweed has threatened to kill himself, reports suggest.

The Celebrity Big Brother star is currently in prison and awaiting trial having been charged with rape earlier this month.

Jack’s mother, Mary Tweed told the News of the World: “Jack was a shambles. He hadn’t washed in days, he looked grubby and grimy and there was dirt round his neck. But it was his mental state that was even more shocking to me.

“As soon as he saw me he broke down in tears and told me straight out that he wanted to kill himself. He asked me to take flowers to Jade’s [Goody] grave and just kept repeating that he didn’t want to carry on living.”

“The absolutely worst thing a mother can hear is her son say he wants to end his life. There was a lot of crying and a lot of silences during that two hours. We just didn’t know what to say. What can you say? We were all devastated.

“We all broke down together. We were all in floods of tears. Then when our time was up they came to take him away. And, as a mum, that’s really horrible – because he’s still my baby, my son. I was left feeling so helpless, as if I’d lost all control.

“The fact that Jade is dead and he’s still struggling to come to terms with it made me even more concerned that he really might try to take his own life.”

Jack Tweed slept with a girl days after his wife, Jade Goody, died of cancer, it has been revealed.

Jack has said that he has found it difficult to cope since Jade’s death and has admitted that he drinks to forget.

Talking to Ireland’s TV3 Jade’s mother, Jackiey said, “It was only three days after her funeral. It’s not right. He could have waited at least a month, maybe even two weeks – but he didn’t even wait seven days.”

Jackiey went on to say that he may have slept with the girl for comfort and recognised that he was not coping: “Jack put his head under the pillows in the front room the whole day Jade died.”

Jack appeared in court last week charged with rape.

Since arriving at Pentonville the club promoter has been separated from other prisoners due to threats made against him.

A prison source told Heatworld: “He has been put on an unusually tight watch and has to be checked on every 20 minutes, which is virtually unheard of. The mental health team are taking his threat very seriously.”

Jack’s friend, Ashley Rubin, who was arrested at the same time has been told that he will not face charges in connection with the rape of the 19-year-old girl.

Jack Tweed has reportedly claimed that he is innocent of rape in a phone call to a friend.

The widower, who is accused of sexual assault, is said to have called a friend from Pentonville Prison to protest his innocence.

A source allegedly told The Sunday Mirror: “His friend asked him if he was OK. Jack said, ‘No, I’m f**king not. I’m in Pentonville jail and I can’t believe that I am here. It’s all a nightmare.

“I can’t believe a girl has made an allegation like that against me and I have ended up here. I am totally innocent and that will be shown in time.

“This is all so ridiculous. I have done nothing. I was with the girl, but no way did I rape her. When the police came to the house I could not believe it. I feel drained and really low. I haven’t slept since I was arrested’.”

Jack is due to appear at Snaresbrook Crown Court on September 21.
