Konnie Huq and Charlie Brooker have married in a quickie ceremony in Las Vegas.
The Blue Peter presenter and TV critic are said to have chosen Las Vegas to avoid the attention that comes with a showbiz wedding in the UK.
A source told the Daily Mail: “Charlie didn’t want a big, tacky celebrity wedding because he doesn’t see him and Konnie as a celebrity couple.
“They are very much in love but when it came down to it, he wanted the wedding to be low-key.
“He is finding it hard to accept the level of interest in their relationship.
“If it was up to him, they would lead a totally private life, enjoying playing PlayStation games at home together and eating in.
“But it is different for Konnie. She is used to all the attention her job brings her and doesn’t mind being in the public eye.”
Konnie is currently presenting The Xtra Factor on ITV 2.

Mel B has allegedly split from her film producer husband Stephen Belafonte.
The Spice Girl is said to be in the process of moving back to the UK and is talking to lawyers in LA about a divorce.
Speaking to The Mirror, Stephen said: “Dude, it’s over. Mel’s coming back to the UK soon – but I won’t be coming with her. There’s been problems lately. I don’t know what’s happening.”
A friend of the pop star said: “They’ve not been happy for a long time and there’s been rowing. Mel’s been talking about getting out. They’re still talking to see if things can be worked out.
“But she’s making plans to come back to the UK on a more permanent basis. Stephen hasn’t been mentioned as joining her and has been consulting lawyers.
“Part of the problem is jealousy. They are both livid when the other one gets attention from another person. They constantly want to know where the other one is. It’s been an ongoing problem right from the start.”

Kerry Katona met her latest boyfriend through an online dating service, reports suggest.
The former Atomic Kitten signed up to the website under a false name and began exchanging messages with kick-boxer Scott Gibson.
A source told the News of the World: “He’s handsome, muscly and a nice guy. Kerry’s been joking that Jordan’s cage fighter hubby Alex Reid looks like an old man beside Scott.
“Scott has boyband looks despite being a champion bruiser, whereas at 35 Alex has a bent nose and looks bashed about.”
Kerry waited a while before revealing her true identity by sending Scott a photo, to which he replied: “You look a bit like that Kerry Katona!”
The source added: “Kerry thought it was brilliant Scott had no idea who she was at first. After the date she was buzzing. She said they kissed goodnight and it was electric. She is having a lot of fun at the moment.”

JJ has finished fourth place in Big Brother.
Leaving the house to masses of applause he took his seat for his exit interview.
On his time in the house he said: “I had such a good time in there. It’s amazing. In four short weeks there are so many things that I did. I’m just glad I got the chance to be there.
He added: “I knew coming in the time that I did it was going to be hard to stay in as long as I did. I’m pleased people saw something in me that made them want to keep me there.”
On his friendship with John James, he said: ” He’s the kind of guy that I would get on with if I got in the house and we struck an immediate bond.
“When you make a bond like we did it’s hard to go against your friend. A lot of the things he said and did I didn’t agree with but he’s my friend.”
JJ denied anything happened with fellow housemate Corin, stating: “People started telling me that she kind of liked me and she kind of fancied me but I didn’t know that.”
On his night in bed with Corin, he said: “It was a tickle, it’s just a tickle. Everyone has asked me but it was just a tickle.”
JJ confirmed that he wanted Josie to win, saying: “Obviously Josie. It would be a travesty if she doesn’t win. Josie has got to win!”
